Frequently Asked Questions
We’ll be glad to answer any questions in regards to Botox treatment services we provide.
Neuromodulator is an FDA approved treatment for the temporary reduction of moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. It is accomplished by injecting small amounts of Botulinum Toxin into specific muscles, thus reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Neuromodulator works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that are responsible for producing the wrinkling of the facial skin, thus producing the appearance of smoother, tighter skin.
Neuromodulator can last 60-180 days. Results vary individually. Repeat treatments are needed to maintain desired and lasting results. On average, repeat treatments are advised every 3-4 months.
Some patients report that being injected with Neuromodulator feels like a pinch. The needle used is very small, often with minimal discomfort.
Appointment Questions
The treatment itself takes approximately 10 minutes or less, and requires minimal downtime or recovery—it’s often called a lunchtime procedure! The majority of your appointment time will be spent chatting and ensuring your desired outcomes are met.
Skin maturity is something that is taken into consideration at your initial consultation. More mature skin may require an increased number of units to achieve your desired outcomes. We will discuss this and anticipated, realistic results at your complimentary consultation. This being said, no one is too old for some Tox!
On the flip side, receiving neuromodulator prior to wrinkle formation, or as Elizabeth likes to call it “skin maturity”, can have a preventative effect.
You should not receive neuromodulator injections if you are allergic to any of it’s ingredients, including Botulinum Toxin Type A, Serum Albumin, and Cow’s Milk Protein, or if you have ever had another reaction to a Botulinum Toxin Type A product.
Additionally, if you have any type of facial paralysis such as Bell’s Palsy, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an autoimmune condition such as Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, HIV or AIDS.

Do not discontinue any prescribed medications without consulting your doctor.
